Last-Minute Lasagna Recipe
I am Italian and make a killer homemade sauce but every now and then even Italians use the good ol’ jar sauce, yes it’s true. When I was younger my mother didn’t but my stepmother introduced me to it, I said oh wow what is this delicious recipe called and how did you make it SO fast?! My moms takes all day (really 8+ hours lol) She just cracked up laughing and said well the difference is your moms doesn’t come from a jar so that’s why it’s not 10 min spaghetti like mine. Ok so next time I went for my visit I asked her very excitedly and not at all joking to please make us some of her “10 min spaghetti” as much as she didn’t like that name that I still feel she coined herself, it was officially named 10 min spaghetti lol as we all began calling it! Anyway….back on track now lol here’s the recipe for a very quick last minute or….10 minute Lasagne haha!
“Last Minute or 10 Minute Lasagne”
66-ounce jar of Ragu® pasta sauce or whichever brand you prefer
1.5 25-oz bags of frozen large cheese ravioli, unthawed
1 cup of fresh spinach leaves (up to you)
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (or other cheese you may have on hand)
1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese
Heat oven to 350° F.
Spray a 13×9” baking pan with cooking spray
Spoon 1.5 cups of the Ragu® sauce in the bottom of the pan.
Place one layer of ravioli along the bottom of the pan.
Top with spinach leaves, 1/3 of sauce and 1/2 of each of the cheeses. (We only topped 1/2 of ours because of the kids who may freak out about green in their food.)
Cover with another layer of ravioli, spinach and other 1/2 of cheeses.
Add more sauce to the top and top with cheese.
Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes if ravioli was frozen or 20 minutes if it was thawed.
Uncover and bake for another 10 minutes.
